Teos Culture Art Association (TAC), adopts the idea of an equitable and Universalist world among species that prioritizes protecting cultural heritage and ecological sustainability, considers gender diversity and equality, focuses on solidarity with local, regional, and international networks, and aims to increase the local/regional capacity, as indicated at the association’s manifesto and charter. Approaching to culture in its broadest sense, the association respects the right to life of all living beings and looks out for the public benefit, regardless of gender, belief, or race in principle.
In line with this vision, the association adopts the missions of:
Enhancing awareness of urban culture, historical and cultural heritage,
Creating spaces for arts and culture actors living and producing in the Aegean geography,
Supporting the ethics of production based on collaborative manners with an interdisciplinary approach,
Developing national and international projects with networks that aim at empowering intercultural dialogue and diversity,
Developing perspectives that will strengthen social inclusion and cultural literacy,
Making culture and art a part of lifelong learning and to act in cooperation with local authorities, public institutions, and regional/national/international networks for this purpose,
Developing sustainable, need based cultural policies in collaboration with local governments.
Regarding the stated mission above; founded by activists, artists, independent publishers, archeologists and local governors in 2016; the board of directors of the association is currently comprised of cultural managers, artists, researchers, scholars and civic activists.
